The Afghan Whigs - 1965 CD

Recorded in New Orleans amidst typical Whig-ian turmoil, The Afghan Whigs' 5th full length album (1st on Columbia) proves once and for all that this is one of the greatest rock bands walking (and/or stumbling) around on this planet. Songwriter and lead singer Greg Dulli gets to the heart of the matter, boldly engaging in the battle of the sexes for a hook-laden, melodic set that is the most accessible, catchy recording they've ever done. 1st single/video: "Somethin' Hot."
